Dear Colleagues and Esteemed Guests,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great honor to welcome each and every one of you to the 8th Asia-Pacific Conference on Public Health (APCPH) 2024 in the vibrant city of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. This conference is organized by the College of Public Health Medicine, Academy of Medicine Malaysia, with invaluable support from the Sarawak State Health Department, Ministry of Health Malaysia, University of Malaysia, Sarawak (UNIMAS), and in collaboration with various
esteemed organizations.

The theme for this year’s conference, “Revitalizing Public Health for a Resilient Future,” emphasizes the critical need to fortify our public health infrastructure and foster innovative solutions. This theme is particularly relevant as we navigate the challenges and opportunities presented in the post-pandemic era.

Our carefully planned program offers a valuable experience with plenary sessions, symposiums, and oral and poster presentations. We are fortunate to have a variety of experts who will share their insights and experiences, encouraging deep discussions and the exchange of innovative ideas to address key public health challenges. Their contributions are essential to making this conference an important educational platform for shaping the future of public health in our region.

As the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated committee members. I am deeply thankful to everyone involved, including panel chairs, panelists, speakers, and of course, all the participants for their
unwavering support and active engagement.
